A permit on the GGL’s official whitelist is shown as active, and the whitelist is the source we cite for it; the list prints no status word. A permit that leaves the whitelist is shown as not in register. Revoked, suspended and surrendered are never shown for Germany: the GGL publishes no list of withdrawn or ended permits, and its public warnings are not licence statuses.

## What this register does not tell us

- We load the four internet game types the GGL itself permits: virtual slot games (Virtuelle Automatenspiele), online poker (Online-Poker), sports betting (Sportwetten) and online horse betting (Pferdewetten im Internet). Online casino table games licensed by a Land (Schleswig-Holstein, Bayern), lotteries (the state DLTB lotteries, lottery brokers, charity lotteries) and land casinos are not in our data, though the whitelist names them. Not finding a German site here is not a finding that it is unlicensed.
- The register publishes no licence numbers. The reference on our licence pages (for example in the API’s license_number) is one we made so the record has an identifier; no regulator issued it.
- The whitelist lists each permit’s websites, sometimes with a section (pokerstars.de/sports); we link the host. A site two permit holders list is linked to both.
