When we find that something we published about a licence was wrong, we correct it by marking it, never by deleting it. The wrong event stays in the licence’s history, struck through, with the date we withdrew it and why; where we then knew the right status, a new event says so and cites where it was read. This page lists every withdrawn event — 394 on 227 licences so far — and every correction pass that wrote to licence history.
A licence is shown as revoked, suspended or surrendered only because a regulator published that and we read it: a licence that leaves a register is shown as no longer listed, not as revoked. UKGC odd export. On 2026-08-20 and 2026-09-22 the Gambling Commission’s download URL served a different export, in which licences that had ended read Active. The status changes those two pulls wrote are withdrawn; the next normal export had restored each status.
Curaçao register PDF misread. Two Curaçao events came from reading the OGL register PDF wrong: a licence listed under two companies was filed under the one its CGA certificate does not name, and a row our PDF reader dropped was taken as the licence leaving the register.
MGA status flaps. Each night the MGA register pass marked a licence not listed and, minutes later, its MGA verification page read “Licensed” and restored it. A status read on the verification page now outranks absence from the list, so neither half was a change.
Another company’s events on an Anjouan record. The Anjouan register listed a company without a licence number, and our loader matched it on that empty key to a record that had also been listed without one, so its events were written onto another business. Operators are no longer matched on an empty identifier.
Revocations inferred from absence. Our loaders marked a licence revoked when it dropped off its register. No regulator had published those revocations — a licence leaving a register is not a revocation — so every one was withdrawn. Where a regulator had published one, a new event cites that publication instead. changelog 1.10.0

Rows written by a correction pass

A pass is a reviewed correction of our own data. Each row it wrote is a normal event in the licence’s history, labelled as a correction and saying what it replaced.
Curaçao history written late. An earlier pass over the CGA certificate portal created or activated these licences without writing history. The rows were added afterwards, and each says that when it happened is not known. changelog 1.13.0
Curaçao surrenders shown as revocations. Licences the CGA lists as revoked “at the request of the operator” — the operator’s act, not an enforcement decision — moved from revoked to surrendered. changelog 1.13.0
Two new statuses. Licences no longer listed moved from unknown to not in register, and UKGC licences the Commission publishes as Surrendered moved from revoked to surrendered. changelog 1.10.0
Curaçao licences wrongly shown active. Licences shown active or pending because the CGA certificate portal still listed them were set to the status the CGA Enforcement Register publishes (revoked, or “not extended” → expired). The portal publishes no status.
Inferred revocations taken back. Each licence we had marked revoked on absence alone was set to unknown — or, where the Anjouan Authority or the CGA had published a revocation or suspension, re-sourced to that publication. changelog 1.10.0
